honoring campuses that champion student health
Since 2015, the Active Minds Healthy Campus Award has recognized and celebrated U.S. colleges and universities that are prioritizing health and making significant progress toward creating a campus that promotes mental health, physical health, and well-being of its students.
As of 2023, Active Minds has decided to discontinue awarding new Healthy Campus Awards as part of our strategic shift towards mobilizing youth and young adults to drive mental health change. We firmly believe that the voice and agency of students hold immense potential for shaping campus cultures that prioritize mental health, holistic well-being, and inclusivity.
The Healthy Campus Award has been a source of pride for us, recognizing colleges that have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the holistic well-being of their students. The Award has highlighted institutions across the United States that have invested comprehensively in both the physical and mental health of their student populations, setting a standard for other colleges and universities to emulate.
