As athletes, we’re often taught to not let things get to us, to avoid showing how we feel. But competition is full of emotions – from joy and success to frustration and disappointment. When we don’t know how to process these feelings, both our mental and physical health can be negatively impacted. By coming together, we can ensure that no one has to navigate these emotions alone. You don’t have to be an expert to help – you just have to be there.

Wear your support for athletes’ mental health
NFL football players are wearing “The World Needs You Here” bracelets and you can too! Each NFL player received a bracelet from Active Minds and the NFL Players Association as part of a league-wide campaign to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.
Team up with us to spread the lifesaving message that mental health is just as important as physical health and that “The World Needs You Here.”

engage in meaningful conversations
When things are hard, sometimes the most important thing someone can do is reach out and ask how you’re doing. These simple conversations can be life-changing, and we can all take part. After all, it’s not about knowing exactly what to say, it’s just about being there. Asking someone you care about how they are doing — like really doing — is the perfect first step. “You good?” is a helpful reminder to engage in meaningful conversations.
