Are you a college student who wants to make a difference on your campus?

The Mental Health Advocacy Institute is a paid leadership opportunity open to current college students at any U.S. college or university. Participants will gain valuable knowledge about advocacy and key current mental health issues in higher education.

Guided by Active Minds’ Senior Manager of Higher Education and Policy Manager, participants in the virtual Mental Health Advocacy Institute will learn how to develop and implement comprehensive mental health advocacy action plans tailored to their campus environments. This paid advocacy leadership program provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to create impactful, institution-wide mental health initiatives that foster inclusive, supportive environments for all students, with a special focus on BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

By the end of the semester, participants will develop a tailored mental health advocacy action plan focused on a specific issue that they will implement on their campus.
