Youth & Young Adult Boards
Active Minds Trailblazers
Active Minds Trailblazers are graduates from Active Minds’ first of its kind Mental Health Advocacy Academy. They work to inform and advance Active Minds’ policy priorities to drive community and systems-level mental health change at the federal, state, and local levels.
Alumni Board
This team of young professionals, who inform the Active Minds workforce development efforts, is responsible for developing ways to support the Active Minds community as they transition to the workforce and incorporate mental health advocacy into their careers.
Youth Council for A.S.K. — Acknowledge, Support, Keep-in-Touch
In a revolutionary partnership Active Minds and SHOWTIME/MTV Entertainment Studios have partnered with 10 young mental health advocates and activists from diverse backgrounds — some of whom participated in MTVE’s first-ever Mental Health Youth Action Forum in coordination with the Biden-Harris Administration in Spring 2022 — to provide input on the most pressing mental health concerns and needs directly from the youth our A.S.K. campaign aims to serve with a focus on young BIPOC and LGBTQ+ young adults.
MEASURE Learning Community
The MEASURE (Mobilizing and Empowering Active Minds Students Using Research and Evaluation) Learning Community is a nine-week program where six youth and young adults analyze and provide feedback on Active Minds’ data collection and dissemination strategies to improve how Active Minds shares its award-winning research.
Your Voice is Your Power Advisory Board
This Advisory Board was created to meet the needs of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ youth and young adults and develop resources that support self-advocacy, interpersonal advocacy, and community and institutional advocacy efforts.
Reach Out
Connect with Active Minds youth and young adults directly to start a conversation that can and will save lives.
More Ways to Get Involved
Our Partners
