It’s hard to believe that more than a decade has passed since the Ice Bucket Challenge took the world by storm. But all these years later, the Ice Bucket Challenge is back, reimagined by the University of South Carolina’s MIND club to support mental health awareness. Inspired by the 2014 Ice Bucket Challenge, which supported the ALS Foundation and brought awareness to the fight against ALS, the #SpeakYourMIND Challenge was started to make conversation about mental health a priority.

The response has been absolutely incredible, with tens of thousands joining in support of mental health awareness. What began with a single video has transformed into a viral movement, and it’s incredible to witness.

The #SpeakYourMIND Challenge is more than just a trend; it is a powerful demonstration of young people’s ability to champion a movement for mental well-being. Thousands have come together to raise over half a million dollars to support Active Minds. Through every video created and every donation made, we are showcasing the incredible strength of collective action.

There’s something truly special about seeing people unite to support mental health! Be sure to check out these standout moments from the #SpeakYourMIND challenge and discover the inspiring ways people are using their platform to spread mental health awareness.
