Team Active Minds Terms & Conditions

We are excited to welcome you to Team Active Minds for an upcoming race.

To ensure you are set up for success and there are no surprises, details of our Team Active Minds Program, your fundraising commitment (if applicable), expectations for your participation, and how Active Minds can support you, can be found on this page. You will also need to agree to any additional race- or event-specific requirements by confirming your understanding of the specific terms and conditions during your registration. 1. Due to the very limited number of entries available to us, and consistent with our agreement with each race partner, there may be an entry minimum required fundraising commitment, to be reached within one week of the end of the race date. Your fundraising commitment, if applicable for your chosen event, is listed on the online registration platform, and is due one (1) week after the event date. The date is also confirmed during the registration process.
2. Your fundraising commitment can be met by any combination of personal gifts, fundraising efforts, corporate sponsorships, matching or employee contributions, and other fundraising efforts, as long as funds are received by the due date.
3. There may be a Team Active Minds registration fee listed on the ticket, due at the time you create your fundraising page and secure your entry. This amount, if applicable, counts towards your fundraising commitment minimum. This payment also secures your custom race jersey, and will officially register you into our program and community, to hold your entry into the chosen race.
4. Entrants are responsible for meeting at least 50% of your fundraising commitment by the date listed on your registration in order to finalize your entry with the race. This specific date will also be communicated via email. If you have not reached this minimum by this date, you may forfeit your entry fee without refund and lose your entry bib.
5. Final fundraising commitments are due one (1) week after the event date, as listed on your registration form. During registration, the card you utilize for your registration fee will be held securely by Active Minds’ fundraising platform (GoFundMe Pro) or the platform required to be used by the event sponsor, and you will be charged the difference between the amount raised and the required fundraising minimum.
6. You are responsible for meeting your full fundraising commitment, regardless of injury, conflicts, travel delays, personal decision to not run the race, failure to follow or meet registration deadlines, or any other reason that prevents your participation in your chosen event. If you are unable to timely meet your fundraising obligations, you will not be able to participate in your chosen event and you will not be entitled to any refund of the registration fee you have paid. You will also not be provided entry to the event by Active Minds and will not be guaranteed entry into the subsequent year’s event (or to a future Team Active Minds event).
7. If you have fulfilled your fundraising obligations by the relevant deadlines but need to cancel, in some limited circumstances you may be able to cancel your participation and be eligible for guaranteed entry to a future event. Such opportunities are dependent on your chosen race and the rules of the event. Please contact us for more information about such a scenario.
8. Your fundraising effort does not include travel expenses to or from your destination, training plans, equipment, housing or lodging, or any other items not noted in your agreement. You are solely responsible for paying and all such expenses.
9. For certain races, you may need to complete an additional race registration directly with the event and/or pay a race registration fee using an invitation code provided by the event with support from Active Minds staff. You will receive personal outreach from the Active Minds team upon achieving the halfway point fundraising commitment threshold noted above. Please note that, as per the terms of Active Minds’ agreements with partner events, participation as an entrant is subject to the approval of the event sponsor, as well as each Entrant’s compliance with all event policies and requirements.
10. You are responsible for completing the formal race registration before all relevant deadlines by the date listed on the registration ticket. Failure to complete this registration will forfeit your bib without refund. Any entry fee may vary and is not set by Active Minds.
11. By committing to a fundraising minimum and/or charity entry through the Team Active Minds program, you attest that you have NOT entered the listed event through any other entry method, such as a lottery system or other bib entry programs. You will be the personal entrant connected to your bib registration, and you may not sell, give, or transfer your bib to anyone else.
