Yes, it is completely free to participate in our social challenges. We encourage you to fundraise and share your progress alongside the challenge to support Active Minds. 100% of funds raised go directly to our vision of creating a society that forever values and prioritizes youth mental health.
Please choose the registration option for the challenge you would like to join. You can register by linking and creating a fundraiser with your Facebook account (the easiest option). All of our virtual challenges can be joined without utilizing social media.
Each challenge has a dedicated Facebook Group so you can meet and engage with other advocates. You do need a Facebook account to participate in this group.
No. There is no age limit, but we do want people to feel comfortable and safely complete your chosen challenge, and you can adjust the activity as needed. If you are under 18, you need a parent or a guardian to agree you can participate before registering.
When registering, you will receive a custom/personalized Activity Hub page. You can track your progress using this dedicated page.
We will also provide a PDF activity challenge tracker.
Depending on your challenge, you may also prefer to utilize a smart watch, app, or other device to track your progress. We encourage you to take a picture of your progress and post it to your fundraising page to keep your network updates!
At the conclusion of the challenge, there will also be a downloadable completion certificate!
Yes, you can choose how you want to complete the challenge and change the activity or goal to meet your needs and ability level. Please don’t force yourself or overexert. The most important part about this challenge is the awareness and care for our mental and raising awareness and mission critical funds in the process. Thank you for choosing to join us in this effort!
When registering, you should have received a confirmation email with more details about your challenge. A welcome packet will also be mailed to your address. Upon qualifying for a challenge incentive or reward, a separate claim form to submit your details will be sent. Please allow two to four weeks for delivery of your reward.
