What's your favorite way to unplug?

Listening to my favorite songs, taking naps, and doing self-care routines!

Jimena is a Costa Rican-born Nicaraguan-raised staff member based in the Midwest. She has graduated from Albion College with a B.A. in Art History and Spanish. Jimena’s connection to mental health advocacy and Active Minds traces back to her participation in co-founding her college’s chapter (2021), the NAB program (2021), Trailblazers (2022), and internship with the organization (2022-2023). She is excited to now serve as the Program Associate for K-12 Student Leadership. Through this role, she hopes to help youths become the direct conductors for utilizing their voices to shape and change the conversation and attitude towards mental health. Aside from mental health advocacy, Jimena enjoys visiting museums, going to concerts, discovering the city/urban life, and watching non-English TV series.
