What's your favorite way to unplug?

I love spending time with my family and friends unplugged. I also recharge by traveling, experiencing the performing arts, and taking long walks while listening to a good audiobook. These moments help me reset, stay inspired, and bring fresh energy to my work.

Kim is proud to serve as the Chief Marketing Officer at Active Minds, where she leads brand, communications, and engagement strategies that advance the organization’s mission. She brings more than 20 years of global marketing and leadership experience building brands, growing audiences, and driving meaningful change across nonprofit and corporate organizations. Throughout her career, Kimberly has held leadership roles at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Amazon, Hilton, and Nestlé, where she launched new brands, expanded markets, and strengthened customer connections.

Kim holds a BA in Communications from Howard University in Washington, DC, and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

She is passionate about leveraging technology, creativity, and consumer insights to develop strategies that resonate with youth and young adults and amplify their voices in ways that inspire action and build stronger communities. Kim is especially energized by the opportunity to support the mission of Active Minds and help normalize conversations about mental health so young people feel seen, heard, and empowered. Her career has been defined by a commitment to leading change, translating insights into action, and using marketing as a force for positive impact. In addition to her professional work, Kimberly is deeply committed to service and community engagement through organizations such as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She lives in Virginia with her husband and teenage son.
